Chris Weidner

About

Chris loves rock climbing, alpine, and ice climbing, trail running, and road biking. He ran his first half marathon at age 10. Cross-country in high school segued into marathons in college. He started climbing at age 13, and by the time he finished college he decided to put running on the back burner to pursue climbing more fully. Now, he uses running and road biking as cross-training for climbing. He also writes, reads, travels, salsa dances, and reads climbing history. He wants to expand his writing to appeal more to non-climbers, and he would like to write a book and a guidebook for a local climbing area I’m passionate about. He wants to visit Africa and South America. And, his climbing goals include sending 14b and V11, and establishing more quality new routes.
